As cloud computing vendors constantly tinker with their products to make them more appealing to customers, leading industry experts believe that their security measures must also be adjusted, according to ITBusinessEdge.com.

The Cloud Security Alliance outlined a survey on the first day of the RSA Conference revealing that IT decision makers want security to be the first issue addressed by cloud computing vendors and that any hesitation they have is due to security concerns.

"It's clear from the survey's findings that enterprises across sectors are eager to adopt cloud computing - but that security standards are needed both to accelerate cloud adoption on a wide scale and to respond to regulatory drivers," Jim Reavis, founder of the Cloud Security Alliance, said in a statement.

Security concerns are also leading to the growth of private clouds, but public clouds still rank as the most used form. However, the CSA believes that more organizations will compromise and begin to utilize hybrid clouds due to the varying sensitivity of their data.

Cloud computing security did receive a boost this week when McAfee announced the development of the Cloud Secure Program, which will integrate the best security measures in each aspect of cloud security into one program.ADNFCR-2553-ID-19677847-ADNFCR
