Managing expenses continues to be a top priority for businesses, according to a recent survey conduct by SHARE.

The survey, which included more than 160 companies, found IT cost management to be the number one concern for respondents, while using IT for a competitive edge was ranked third.

Al Williams, president of SHARE, said “cost management, especially when it comes to cost reduction and avoidance, continues to be top of mind for these companies.” However, reducing their expenses is not the sole goal for many of these organizations, as IT professionals know “there is a need to demonstrate IT’s value and how it can provide a competitive advantage every day,” he added.

Regulatory compliance and data center energy management were also two concerns for respondents, who ranked them eighth and 10th, respectively.

To solve these IT problems, many businesses have deployed cloud computing solutions. By using SaaS, IaaS and PaaS, organizations have made their businesses leaner and more efficient. Rather than spending resources on packaged software and in-house data centers, companies are finding outsourcing their computing needs can streamline business practices, increase productivity and reduce energy costs.ADNFCR-2553-ID-19907907-ADNFCR
