Cloud computing security company iSheriff recently announced the development of new SaaS applications dedicated to email and web security. The company designed the applications to work together, but they can work just as well independently.

The growing popularity of SaaS applications, according to iSheriff, has led to a growing demand for security applications that can also operate in the cloud. Latency issues can occur when cloud computing programs operate in conjunction with traditional hardware and software. This can cause a security program to fail.
"Our new email and web security services enable clients to quickly and easily apply web 2.0 protection for their organization without significant cost, training or ongoing administration," Oscar Marquez, iSheriff CEO, said.

"The web 2.0 environment is getting more dangerous for businesses instead of getting safer. This risk is driving the need for all companies that utilize the web for business to secure their connections and protect against malicious threats," he added.

Security programs that operate specifically in the cloud are not particularly popular at the moment, but they may expand their customer base as more companies move to the cloud. Gartner recently reported that 95 percent of companies with operations in the cloud plan to maintain or expand their use in the future.ADNFCR-2553-ID-19753449-ADNFCR
