The Radicati Group recently released a new study focusing on corporate IT leaders’ plans for deployment and IT usage for the upcoming year.

The study, named Corporate IT Survey - Messaging and Collaboration, 2010-2011, included responses from 100 organizations across the globe. Although the economic downturn has negatively impacted many industries, the IT sector appears to be growing.

Forty-seven percent of organizations said their IT budgets have increased from 2009 to 2010, with reducing IT costs being the leading goal for respondents.

Many organizations believe adopting a cloud solution will help them cut down on their expenses, as the second-most prominent concern for respondents was the need for hosted and cloud-based services.

Cloud computing services is a cost-effective solution for companies that want to reduce their spending without sacrificing productivity. In fact, SaaS has shown to actually improve overall productivity because of the pay-as-you-go model offered by most vendors.

Instead of purchasing bulk orders of equipment and software, companies can pay for services based on their needs; this allows them to expand or contract their operations depending on the size of projects.ADNFCR-2553-ID-19930292-ADNFCR
