Salesforce.com, a leading cloud computing company, has announced significant growth in the third quarter of 2010.

The company, which specializes in cloud-based customer relationship management software, experienced growing profitability during the quarter, according to an official report. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share grew to $0.32, a 14 percent increase over the same period last year.

Total revenue for Salesforce.com reached $429 million during the quarter, an increase of 30 percent over 2009. Professional services and other revenues accounted for $26 million, while subscriptions and support revenue came to $403 million, according to the company.

According to Salesforce.com CEO and chairman Marc Benioff, the company predicts it will continue growing and will reach $2 billion revenue in 2012. Benioff noted that Salesforce.com would be the first cloud computing company to achieve that milestone.

Salesforce.com has its headquarters in San Francisco, California and offices in Asia, Europe and Australia. Established in 1999, the company now has over 2.1 million subscribers.
