Integration New Media recently announced the development and release of its industry-leading eLibrary Technology as a SaaS application. The solution allows companies to create comprehensive libraries of content that are user-friendly.

Citing the growing use of SaaS applications among their customers, INM decided to create the program to leverage cloud computing's growth and reach more customers. Adding capabilities to its eLibrary technology has been an important aspect of INM's goals since first offering the programs 20 years ago.

The program is especially useful for magazine and newspaper publishers to offer back issues of their publications without excessive printing that can prove wasteful. Promoting sustainability is an aspect of cloud computing that several companies have cited as a primary reason for the move to SaaS applications or other forms of hosted services.

Google and Microsoft recently announced that their hopes to integrate sustainability into their companies was a primary motivation in the development of data centers in Washington that will run exclusively on hydropower. However, the announcements came after pressure from Greenpace in the form of a report that found the companies use as little as 4 percent renewable energy at their data centers.ADNFCR-2553-ID-19806010-ADNFCR
