An increasing number of companies are incorporating cloud services into their IT solutions. According to a recent IDC study, the market for cloud systems management software will expand in the coming years, as cloud adoption continues to grow.

The study found approximately 70 percent of cloud system management software purchases were deployed in private cloud environments in 2010. The Americas accounted for approximately 63.1 percent of the cloud systems management software market in 2010, according to the study.

According to IDC, many companies will deploy system management tools in order to optimize IT processes as they adopt an increasing number of cloud services. IDC predicts the cloud systems management market will grow to approximately $2.5 billion by 2015.

Mary Johnston Turner, research director for a cloud systems management software firm, said demand for cloud systems management software is likely to "ramp up as cloud adoption hits a tipping point. As cloud computing becomes mainstream, "we expect this market to experience a robust 45.5 percent compound annual growth rate between 2010 and 2015," Turner said.

The cloud computing market continues to expand rapidly worldwide. According to a recent IDC forecast, the Japanese cloud computing market is expected to be worth approximately $1.9 billion by 2014.
