Forrester Research reported on Tuesday IT spending will continue to grow, though its pace in Europe will be slower than in other parts of the world.

In the U.S., IT products and services, such as those offered in the cloud, will increase by 9.9 percent in 2010 to $564 billion, compared to worldwide growth, which only reach 7.8 percent.

Forrester expects Canada to experience the greatest IT spending growth this year with a 16.2 percent rise, while spending from Latin American countries will follow closely with 15.4 percent.

Many companies have embraced cloud services as a way to reduce their long-term expenses and to become more flexible in their business operations. As many parts of the U.S. and Europe continue to struggle economically, finding an IT solution that can improve overall productivity without driving up costs has become a major priority.

Big businesses are not the only driving force for cloud adoption, as many smaller companies have found improved scalability and pay-as-you-go options to be legitimate alternatives to localized desktop software.ADNFCR-2553-ID-19904298-ADNFCR
