According to Resource On Demand, a cloud computing recruiting firm, the demand for qualified IT professionals who specialize in SaaS increased by 233 percent in January of 2010.

Services like customer-relationship management solutions are among the primary reasons for the growth in cloud computing. All forms of cloud computing, according to ROD, allow companies to integrate new technologies that lower the cost of doing business. CRM solutions provide companies with an expansive, customizable database to aggregate customer information and make the sales process more effective.

"Cloud computing is now more than a buzz word. Organizations are seeing both economic and sound operational reasons to use cloud technology," Lee Durrant of Resource On Demand said. "This appealed to organizations during the recession, due to value for money paired with an increased level of performance, and continues to appeal to them in the post-recession market place."

American universities have taken note of the demand for cloud computing professionals. The University of California at Irvine announced recently that cloud computing will become a substantial portion of its course work for students studying information technology. Even its extension school will offer a course in cloud computing to allow older IT professionals to become fluent in the technology.ADNFCR-2553-ID-19643151-ADNFCR
