Cloud computing can make a business much more efficient and up-to-date, but there are challenges to building a great cloud-based business that can succeed for years. Channel Partners recently identified some tips, including choosing the correct cloud provider, which can help companies deploy a cloud solution.

"Eighty percent of poll respondents cited choosing the right cloud service provider(s) as a key obstacle to implementing a cloud practice," Channel Partners Senior Editor Kelly Teal said. "Another 12 percent remained neutral on the matter, while 8 percent disagreed or strongly disagreed. Among the reasons this task is difficult are the large number of market entrants, including startups and brand names, and a variety of channel strategies."

Other tips include finding sustainable commissions from suppliers, training employees on how to work within the cloud and educating customers about the cloud service to make the transition go more smoothly and make sure people know what is happening.

Business Cloud News said when planning for cloud computing, companies should implement it slowly to reduce any risks, plan for costs that may come up in the cloud and make sure IT hardware is integrated into cloud services for ease of use.
