Providing a cloud computing vendor with an extensive profile of an organization and its daily itinerary is the best way for a small business to ensure that it selects the right company to operate its cloud, according to the Cloud Computing Journal's Tony Bishop.

Different vendors can offer businesses certain services that work well for them, while another that has experienced success in one industry may not be capable of providing the same level of support in another. Presenting every trait and task of a business before deciding upon a vendor will the make transition more like to succeed, Bishop said.

"In natural language terms, define and capture the day in the life of the business, what they expect, where there are problems today, and understand sensitivities to cost, bottlenecks and timing constraints," Bishop wrote for Cloud Comput Journal.

Outsourcery recently reported that SaaS has become popular among small businesses because it offers an organization increased IT capability without spending a lot of money on the infrastructure. The flexibility of cloud computing companies makes them attractive partners for organizations of all size. Melanie Post, a research director at IDC, reports that large businesses often pursue technology rather than services like small businesses do.ADNFCR-2553-ID-19667454-ADNFCR
