For most people actually using SaaS cloud technology, the benefits of virtualization are almost invisible.

Their use of software is essentially the same. They run the program, save their data and it does not really make a difference that the information is all being processed through a server that is entirely virtualized.

For those people, the cloud computing movement may not seem like too big of a deal, but what they cannot see, is that clouds are revolutionizing the way companies use servers, according to Dave Adams of OS News.

Behind-the-scenes, clouds make it possible for companies to completely change the way they depend on servers for data storage and website management. In the past, IT departments had to balance the company's budget and current need with its potential for growth and find a server that fit. If the organization were to grow quickly, a tedious and time consuming process of adding a server and moving data around would ensue.

With cloud technology, businesses are no longer limited by their server size. All of that information can now be processed through virtualized servers, and the hassle and challenge of making traditional data servers work is no longer present.

Benefits of this nature are quickly changing the way companies look at the new technology. In an international survey conducted by Vanson Bourne, 68 percent of respondents showed an interest in expanding their organization's use of cloud computing in the next year.ADNFCR-2553-ID-19937181-ADNFCR
