PC Backup
Since 1999 CenterBeam has been using Iron Mountain's automated Connected® Backup for PCs to help clients eliminate the risk of data loss from desktops and laptops whether local or remote. It is the perfect optional add-on service to CenterBeam's PC Security Service. You can choose to protect as many or as few PCs as you need. The Connected Backup of PCs also provides a secure web portal through which users can recover data, with or without calling the helpdesk.
Protect Your Company Data
Connected PC Backup provides the highest levels of security available. All data is encrypted at the desktop using government-level 128-bit, Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). Enterprise data remains encrypted both during transmission and storage.
A simple call to our helpdesk begins the process of requesting a data restore should a PC hardware failure occur or in the event a PC is stolen. Your data is safe and fully restored within 24 hours of a request.
Connected Backup for PCs provides these solutions:
- Backup: Scheduled and automatic disk to disk backup is transparent to users and fast, even over dial up connections
- Recovery: Users can recover lost files quickly and easily, whenever and wherever needed
- Heal: Quickly repairs damaged or corrupted applications, configurations and files on any PC
- MyRoam: Web-based access portal lets users access their backed up data anywhere without IT support intervention
Reduce Network and Storage Costs
Connected Backup for PCs patented technology reduces the volume of backed up data by up to 85 percent. This decreases the storage necessary for backup and recovery, cuts the time for data transfer and diminishes the load on enterprise networks.
Technologies include:
DeltaBlock®: technology sends only the changed data in files, saving the transmission time and storage requirements. For example, when a document changes, DeltaBlock only backs up the changes at the block level. This patented technology reduces backup time, minimizes network traffic, decreases the size of stored files and enables backup even over low-bandwidth connections.
SendOnce®: eliminates duplicate files by saving each file only once. This patented technology backs up files to a SendOnce pool, preventing identical copies from being stored in multiple user archives. This means you avoid the time and expense of storing the same files repeatedly.
Server Backup & Recovery
Since 1999, CenterBeam has offered Iron Mountain's LiveVault® Server Backup and Recovery Services to radically simplify the protection of your company's servers including file, database, application and Microsoft® Exchange servers, virtually eliminating the risks and burdens of tape backup.

The server backup and recovery solution fully automates and streamlines the protection of your data through a "set-it-and-forget-it" service. The server backup and recovery solution provides the following essential functions:

Secure and Safe
At every step, from the moment it leaves your server until it's safely stored in Iron Mountain's remote data center, your data is completely secure and carefully protected using the same stringent measures, protocols, and standards that financial institutions use to protect their data. All of your data is encrypted at the source with a unique key that only you have using 256 bit AES encryption.
For an additional layer of protection, the server backup and recovery solution uses the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to establish a secure, resilient communication tunnel to the off-site Iron Mountain storage facility.
Flexible Bandwidth Management
After initial backup, the server backup and recovery solution transmits only the changes to the files to minimize bandwidth consumption. Bandwidth throttling also enables you to control the amount of bandwidth used during specified time periods.
Rapid Recovery
CenterBeam will install the Rapid Recovery Appliance on your site to enable local, disk-speed recoveries of current data and recent history. This simple-to-install appliance enables you to quickly recover large amounts of data while meeting the most stringent recovery time objectives (RTO). The Rapid Recovery Appliance requires no maintenance or manual operations and maintains recoverable copies of all current data plus a rolling "data history" of recent versions that are always available for instant local recovery.
