World Class Datacenter

CenterBeam's datacenter is collocated in a top tier facility with N+1 redundancy built throughout. Our facility is SAS-70 II certified and achieves the highest level of security, redundancy, and fault-tolerance so that your services are robust.

Enterprise-Class Security

CenterBeam's Hosted Exchange environment resides in a secure, redundant off-site datacenter. All data is encrypted, and all communications between the client and Exchange are encrypted. Malware protection is deployed via a multi-layered multi-engined anti-virus solution. This approach protects your users from propagating viruses or worms internally as well as from external threats. Included at no extra charge is our world-class anti-spam solution which protects your mailbox from unsolicited mail—before it hits your inbox.

Security is embedded in all that we do. As one example, all employees go through extensive background checks prior to being hired, and CenterBeam's security framework is based on a "need-to-know" model that includes a "separation of duties" to restrict access.

CenterBeam is SAS-70, Type II Certified – Times Two

SAS-70 Type II is one of the most stringent forms of certification which includes rigorous tests by an independent auditor in order to provide a measure of assurance on related control objectives for CenterBeam's environment and operation. SAS-70 (Statement on Auditing Standards, number 70) Type I certifies that internal controls are documented, whereas a SAS-70 Type II is performed by certified third party auditors and includes a rigorous inspection of controls to ensure adherence. Typically, SAS-70 Type II audits are performed annually.

CenterBeam's defined controls are based on the COSO framework, which is the same control framework that SOX compliance is based on. In addition to CenterBeam itself being SAS-70 Type II certified, CenterBeam's co-location partner is also SAS-70 Type II certified. Whereas most MSPs rely solely on their collocation partner's certification.

Robust Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam Protection

Anti-virus protection is included to protect your emails at all times with multiple different engines and through multiple layers to ensure a clean email environment.

Best-in-breed anti-spam technology is included to ensure that your mailboxes are free of spam mail that would bog down productivity, and significantly increase storage space. Our Anti-Spam Solution by MessageLabs is in the "Leader Quadrant" for Email Security by the Gartner® Group.

Always-On

Single-Sign-On

Real Single-Sign-On™ capability enabled by Active Directory configuration and integration allows customers to authenticate once and use subsequent applications & services achieving convenience and security for users. You don't need to supply your password every time you open Outlook. CenterBeam is the only managed service provider (MSP) that offers "real" Single Sign-On for Hosted Exchange. This means when you login to your computer at the start of your day, you only need to provide your password one time. This allows CenterBeam's service to have the same look and feel as an on-premise solution.

Other MSPs define "single sign-on" as "same password." This means that while you only have to remember one password, you will need to use it every time you open Outlook. CenterBeam has engineered a solution to remove this hassle factor.
